| Details: Our client is a growing design/manufacturing company in the exciting world of wind energy. They are looking for a highly experience drive train/gear design engineer. This position will be responsible for gearbox and gear design and sustaining engineering work. Currently they buy gears, but they are planning to start manufacturing the gears, along with other critical wind turbine parts and sub-assemblies.In this position you will be the company's key engineer for gear/gearbox spec and design, bearing analysis and selection and driveshaft, in short everything between the propeller and the generator.To qualify you need a minimum of 10 years in design engineering for mechanical gear/drive train components. BSME is required, MS is a plus. You should have expertise in tribology, gear life analysis, stress and metallurgical factors affecting gears, etc. A background in high load gearing, such as large trucks, mining equipment, etc. is idealIf you have this type of experience we'd like to talk to you in more detail about a career in a growing industry. | ||||
